Yoga is essentially a discipline based on a subtle science which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science for health

y living. The word Yoga is derived from Sanskrit root “YUJ” meaning to bind, to join, to attach and to yoke, to direct and concentrate one’s attention on to use and apply.
According to yogic scriptures, the practice of yoga leads to the union of individual consciousness with universal consciousness. According to modern scientists everything in the universe is just a manifestation of the same quantum firmament. One who experiences this oneness of existence is said to be “in Yoga” and is termed as a Yogi who has attained a state of freedom, referred to as mukti, nirvana, kaivalya or moksha.
Maharshi Patanjali who is known as the Father of Modern Yoga said that “Yogah Chitta Vritti Norodhah”. The three words chitta, vritti, nirodhana define Yoga. The first words Chitta means mind., the second one Vritti means the wave of thoughts that destruct our mind each and every time and the third word Nirodhah means inhibition or suppression. So the inhibition or suppression of mind-modifications is called as Yoga.
Yoga is also refers to an inner science comprising of variety of techniques through which anyone beings can achieve union between the body and mind to attain self-realization.

Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya a famous Indian Yogi has said that “Yoga is the art of living life”. The aim of Yoga Practice (Yog Sadhna) is to overcome all kinds of sufferings that lead to sense of freedom in every walk of life with holistic health, happiness and harmony.
